Ingrid Hoffman will host the Latin Gourmet Awards in DFW

The Latin Gourmet Awards will be holding their annual event to the Mesquite Hampton Inn Convention and Expo Center on October 4, 2013. The ceremony will be hosted by world renowned Chef Ingrid Hoffman.

The Latin Gourmet Awards will recognize Latino chefs at the height of their careers.

"Paving the way for future Latino chefs through scholarship funds, The Latin Gourmet Awards reassures them for a better tomorrow", the event's organizer, Sandy Garza of SG Marketing Solutions, said.

Coca Cola will present Chef Ingrid Hoffman with an Honorary Award.

World renowned Chef Ingrid Hoffman will host The Latin Gourmet Awards. Chef Ingrid Hoffman professional eater and host of Simply Delicioso (Cooking Channel) and Delicioso (Univision), is passionate about food and entertaining and spends each day sharing her enthusiasm and talent with an international audience. In 2010, Ingrid partnered with Spanish media giant, Univision, to take her Delicioso brand to a new level. Hoffmann and Delicioso are featured in a range of cooking segments and capsules across Univision Networks, including popular morning show “Despierta America” and daytime show “Hoy.”

Currently, he appears in El Canal de las estrellas of Grupo Televisa, the world’s largest spanish-language media network.

Ben E. Keith will recognize and honor Chef James Tahhan with the National Award.

Chef James Tahhan - Born in Venezuela, in a small town called Los Teques, James who once
inspired to be a dentist followed his passion into the culinary field by attending the prestigious
culinary university “Le Cordon Bleu” where he specialized in international cuisine and pastry,
graduating with honors. James was also chosen as the official chef and presenter of
Telemundo’s morning program “Levantate.”

Rudy’s Tortillas will recognize and honor with the Entrepreneur Award.

Chef Laura Sanchez the owner of La Calle Doce and El Ranchito, two large and successful
establishments, is known for always being up for a challenge and tackling every problem with a
smile on her face. Her love for the restaurant industry is apparent and shines through in her
businesses. Sanchez has made her restaurants a family business rather than a one-woman
show. She has established a family work environment that clearly reflects in the food and
service her customers receive. 

Rudy’s Tortillas will recognize and honor Chef Antonio Marquez with the
DFW Local Chef Award.

Chef Antonio Marquez possesses multiple culinary degrees, putting his nearly 30 years of
experience to good use at the helm of Lazaranda Modern Kitchen & Tequila Restaurant.
After two years of studying economics and becoming fluent in French, Marquez headed to Paris
for culinary school. There he earned degrees at Le Pot au Feu and the prestigious Le Cordon
Bleu. Following his apprenticeship, Marquez returned to Mexico, where he developed menus for
restaurants across the country. Marquez partnered with Mario Letayf in 2003. Today they
operate four restaurants in Monterrey, Mexico. “I’ve cooked in Paris, I have cooked in Los
Angeles, and, of course, my native Mexico,” says Chef Marquez, “but nothing gives me more
pride than bringing the cuisine of today’s Mexico to Dallas and becoming part of the Dallas
culinary community.”
