What is it in your life that adds "sabor" or flavor to it? Beyond the routine of daily life, what gives life that spice that keeps you smiling?
The reason I ask this is because I recently asked myself the same question. I most definitely think that love gives life flavor, because everything seems to feel differently when love is in the picture. It's as if your senses are awake -- everything tastes and feels differently. Life most definitely has a different flavor when love is involved.
But other than that (although love is important), what else gives your life extra "sabor"? For me, it's several things. I love to dance samba, for example. Since I began taking classes almost a year ago, my life has had more flavor. I look forward to samba class after the work day is done and the dance steps, music and positive people that are a part of the samba group give me that much needed boost of energy. I leave class smiling and that affects my attitude in a positive way. Those around me also feel the positive energy that I give them.
I believe that it is possible to keep up with your responsibilities as an adult, but what else is out there than can make you smile more? Do you like to read novels or write creatively? Or perhaps you enjoy running or playing sports? Whatever it is that adds flavor to your life, you should try to do this at least every once in awhile.
Let's face it. Life can get boring and tedious, so why not make it more interesting? If none of my suggestions appeal to you, I'm sure you have some great ideas. Perhaps you've always wanted to learn a foreign language or you enjoy walking in the park with your pet. The list of things you could do is endless.
So I leave you with this question. What is it that adds spice to your life? If the answer comes easy to you, congratulations! If the answer didn't come easy for you, don't worry. You can always add that extra "sabor" to life. Why not start now?
